My Kid Review
Tom Smith continues his Boss Bandit series with Boss Bandit and the Christmas Tree Intruder. As with other books in the series, Boss Bandit dreams (although you are not aware that it is a dream until near the end). In this book Boss Bandit helps his people choose and decorate a Christmas tree. There is a gremlin that scares Boss Bandit (in his dream). That gremlin may scare some younger children.
Anastasiya Benzel’s colorful illustrations compliment the text well and help children visualize the story.
I love that the book uses large print, making it easier for beginning readers to read some of the words. And making it easier for grandparents to read the book to their children.
Boss Bandit and the Christmas Tree Intruder would be a good addition to the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library, provided the school allows Santa Claus. The book is appropriate for primary-aged children.
I received a complimentary copy of Boss Bandit and the Christmas Tree Intruder. This is my honest review.
