My Kid Review

Rather than look at differences, Together looks at similarities and working together. 

Manaresi’s text of Together is philosophical and abstract, so the book is more appropriate for an older audience than the typical picture book. It could be used as a discussion starter in older elementary or middle school classrooms. 

Manna chose to use animals dressed as humans and a whimsical style to depict the characters of the text. The illustrations complement the text well. I actually like the illustrations more than the story. 

Together is a picture book that I would not necessarily place in the picture book section of a library. I do think the book has its place in a K-12 Christian school library but I caution librarians to take care with where they place the book.
