My Adult Review

Madison’s Mission is the latest book by Susan G. Mathis. I enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed her other books. This one is also set in the Thousand Islands and includes historical facts. It is obvious that Mathis knows the area well and has done her historical research.

Madison’s Mission is a story of love and dedication. First toward an employer and then to a friend. Madison’s job is to take care of the ailing wife of George Boldt in her final days. While doing that she meets Emmett, the man in charge of building Boldt castle. As the story progresses trouble develops at the construction site and Emmett is falsely accused of wrongdoing. In between her duties with Mrs. Boldt, Madison does what she can to help clear her friend’s name.

The story includes romance, mystery and disappointment as well as joy. This was a book I could not put down. I look forward to reading more stories about Boldt Castle.

While written for the adult audience, Madison’s Mission does not contain anything that would prevent it from being included in a K-12 Christian school library. It is appropriate for high school students.

I received a complimentary copy of Madison’s Mission. This is my honest review.
