“First name, last name, phone number. Good. Where she lives. Favorite colors are blue, purple, and red. But since this is a Winter Wonderland theme, she’s going with blue, silver, and white hues. The best man and groomsmen will be in dark blue tuxes and white shirts.” She tapped the folder. This is going to be a beautiful wedding.
After Mandie made the call and confirmed the notes with Holly, she picked up a call from Hudson.
“Hey, babe. What day are we tasting cake and choosing songs?”
Mandie giggled. “We are choosing songs tomorrow with Leena. And we’re tasting cake . . . hang on.” She checked the
calendar on her cell phone. “Next Wednesday at one.”
“I still wish you’d bake our cake. You’re the best cakemaker in the world.”
“That’s sweet, honey. But no bride wants to make her own wedding cake.”
“I get it.” Hudson chuckled. “I’m going to call Mr. Randall and book my flight.”
Book my flight. Mandie’s muscles tightened. It sounded
far away. She made herself sound upbeat. “Thanks for letting me know.”
“Love you.”
“Love you more.”
She smiled when Hudson said, “Love you most.” She ended the call. She’d have to dig deep and trust that he would not move to Seattle and abandon her. Stupid triggers. They’d had many conversations about his job, but she didn’t realize he’d been so miserable. Poor guy. She’d have to do something extra special for him. Like cook him a nice dinner or bake his favorite cake.
