My Kid Review

Geography is an important concept and I was happy to see this geography alphabet by R. M. Smith. Each page focuses on a letter of the alphabet and applies that letter to a geographic place or term. Text on each page gives the definition of the geographic location pictured on that page.

I appreciated that Smith labeled many of the elements in the illustrations with their name so that beginning readers can begin to associate those pictures with their name. Parents and caregivers can ask children to point out the named items which will help the child to begin to associate the words with the pictures.

Smith was also the illustrator of Geography Alphabet. His illustrations are realistic which will help children identify the items when they see them in real life.

I loved Geography Alphabet and can see so many uses in the classroom and at home. It would make a great addition to the non fiction or the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library. It is appropriate for early elementary-aged children.

I received a complimentary copy of Geography Alphabet. This is my honest review.
