Summary of Give God Your Worries
Give God Your Worries helps preschoolers learn how God takes care of his creation and especially them and to remember 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
God takes care of birds, animals, the sun and rain. He takes care of everything in his world. And he takes care of us, too. But we can sometimes be anxious or nervous. Jesus wants us to remember he cares for us and we can cast—or throw—our worries on him.
In Give God Your Worries, Sally Michael helps parents, teachers, and caregivers to instruct the mind, engage the heart, and influence the will of children as they learn a new Scripture. Each page shows pictures and asks questions to engage preschoolers in understanding the verse. Repetition of the verse throughout the book helps children memorize the Bible verse after just a few readings. Also included are pointers for helping children memorize and suggestions for activities that will reinforce “Living by the Word.”

My Kid Review of Give God Your Worries
I love the concept of this series – stories centered around a specific Bible verse with the goal of helping the child learn and understand the verse. Give God Your Worries uses I Peter 5:7 as its theme. Sally Michael’s story and questions will help young children understand the concept of worry as well as learning how to give their worries to God – a skill many adults need to learn as well
Sengsavane Chounramany’s illustrations include a lot of wildlife. They are done in muted tones. They are realistic and complement the text well.
Give God Your Worries closes with a note for parents, tips on how to use the book, and tips for helping youngsters memorize scripture.
Give God Your Worries would be a great resource for parents, caregivers, Sunday school teachers, and early childhood classroom teachers. It would be a great addition to the picture book section (or nonfiction section) of a K-12 Christian school library.
I received a complimentary copy of Good Gifts Come From God. This is my honest review.
