My Kid Review

Sarah Gaston has crafted a cute picture book for toddlers. It is designed after the choose-your-own-adventure books that were popular for a time. She starts with a short introduction for caregivers about the importance of giving toddlers choices. Each two-page spread gives the child a choice to make – what to wear, what activity to do, what gift to give, where to shop, what tree to get, and how to decorate it. Unlike the choose-your-own-adventure stories, the choice does not change anything in the story.

Patrizia Diana’s illustrations are whimsical and cartoon-like. They really are a part of the story, illustrating the choices that need to be made.

Help Ozzy Choose: Christmas is a great book for toddlers and preschoolers. I don’t think I would add it to a K-12 Christian school library, though, unless the school has a preschool. The story is probably below most kindergarteners.

I received a complimentary copy of Help Ozzy Choose: A God gives us choices book: Christmas from the author through Interviews & Reviews. This is my honest review.
