My Kid Review
Heroes of Hebrews is a devotional book for older elementary-aged children by Kimberley Payne. Each devotional is about one of the heroes from Hebrews 11. It starts with an image for the child to color. The devotional includes a Scripture passage taken from The Message and information about the hero being featured. The devotional closes with reflection questions, an activity and a prayer.
Children will be introduced to some well-known Bible characters like Abraham and David as well as some lesser known ones like Barak and Jephthah. There are nineteen devotionals in all.
Heroes of Hebrews is a great resource for parents. Teachers may also want copies for all of their students as it is a good study on Hebrews 11. Because it is a devotional book with pages to write on and color, I would not place the book in a library – but it is a good book for individual children.
I received a complimentary copy of Heroes of Hebrews. This is my honest review.
