My Kid Review
Vetter understands how kids think!. I Don’t Want My Mom to Know! contains a lesson for both kids and adults.
The main child character sneaks a hammer, nail, and board – and nails the board to his bedroom floor. Mom comes in, doesn’t yell, just uses the experience as a teachable moment – I think this is the kind of parent we’d all like to be.
The rhyming text is catchy and will appeal to young listeners. I think young readers will be able to “read” the text after having it read to them a couple of times.
I recommend I Don’t Want My Mom to Know! for the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library. The book is appropriate for preschool through early elementary grades.
I received a complimentary copy of I Don’t Want My Mom to Know! This is my honest review.
