Read and laugh along as you see what happens in I Don’t Want to Do My Chores! by RK Vetter, while you await the third title, I Don’t Want My Mom to Know!
Author’s Note: This “Don’t Want To” series book, for ages 4-8, is a wonderful tool for daycare or school staff, parents, and grandparents alike. It is also for children to read and enjoy independently!

My Kid Review
What child “wants” to do their chores? Vetter shows she understands how preschoolers and young elementary children think.
What I really liked about I Don’t Want to Do My Chores! is the way the main character figures out how to have his dog help him do his chores so that they can go and play outside sooner.
I do wish the message had been more about the importance of doing chores rather than how to get out of doing them, but the story is cute.
The illustrations are done in comic style. They complement the text well and help tell the story.
I Don’t Want to Do My Chores! would be a great addition to the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library.
I received a complimentary copy of I Don’t Want to Do My Chores! This is my honest review.
