Summary
In Sadie Finds Her Voice, children will learn that God is with them when they are shy and feel nervous about meeting new people, and he will help them to find their words.
Sadie Bunny should be excited to stay overnight with her cousin Ivy. But instead, she is nervous. What if Ivy’s friends don’t like her? What if she can’t get any words out? But after a chance meeting with a scary cat piano teacher, armed with words from the Good Book, Sadie learns that Jesus can help even when you feel shy.

My Kid Review
Sadie Finds Her Voice is a beautiful story, perfect for children who are shy. Flenders seems to really understand young children. I loved the nod to the Bambi movie with the reference to the “wrong Flower.” I’m sure this mention will be lost on the little ones but those reading the book to them will probably enjoy the reference.
Joe Hox created delightful illustrations to accompany the text. They complement the text well and include many details (like a picture of a skunk in reference to the “wrong flower”).
The book closes with some useful tips for parents and caregivers on helping children overcome shyness.
Sadie Finds Her Voice would be a great addition to the picture book section of a K-12 Christian School library.
I received a complimentary copy of Sadie Finds Her Voice. This is my honest review.
