My MS Review of Why? The Human Body

Kids love to ask questions – which is good because questions help them learn. Paige Towler addresses 99+ questions about the human body in language older elementary students can understand. 

Parents and teachers do need to be aware that the book touches briefly on puberty. The book does not include many details and it is tastefully written. The book also takes an evolutionary viewpoint on some of the topics in the book. Some of the questions have answers which are somewhat speculative as they revolve around what might happen in the future. 

Throughout the book sidebars contain interesting facts or quizzes for the reader.

Overall, Why? The Human Body is a good resource for older elementary and middle school students.

Why? The Human Body could be considered for a K-12 Christian school library. I recommend librarians preview the book for themselves to make sure it is appropriate for their audience.
