Think About It:

1. Did Alexander have some bad things happen in his day?

2. Did he have a good reason to be upset and frustrated at times?

3. Did he cause his day to be worse by anything he did?

4. If you’re having a bad day, what would happen if you focused on good things instead of the bad things?

5. What are some good things you can always think about?

6. Instead of being sad or mad about the bad things that happen in your day, what attitude could you have about the good things that happen in your day?

Do everything without complaining or arguing. (Philippians 2:14, ERV)

For Further Thought:

1. Do you think every day has some good and some bad in it?

2. How does our attitude affect our day?

3. Can we find good things to think about while still admitting some things went wrong or that we could have done some things better? Or should we pretend everything is good? Why or why not?

Prayer for Today: Dear Jesus, sometimes I have bad days where everything seems to go wrong. You tell us in the Bible that we should think about what is true and honorable and not to complain. Help me to think about the things I should do. Help me to be thankful for all the good things in my life. You have blessed me and my family in so many ways. Thank you for caring for us and always being with us even through the bad days and the hard times. In Jesus’ name, amen.
