My Kid Review

Young children are often curious about the animals in stories. Ciesinska takes this curiosity to the story of Palm Sunday. What is that donkey’s story? She crafts a delightful tale in Little Donkey and God’s Big Plan about the donkey’s life before he was used to carry Jesus through the crowds. While this is an Easter book, it has a secondary message of God having a plan for the lives of his children.

Ciesinska also illustrated the book. The pictures have a bit of a cartoon-feel. They do complement the text well. Children will enjoy looking at the pictures while listening to the story.

Little Donkey and God’s Big Plan would be a great addition to the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library. It is appropriate for preschool and primary-aged children. Parents and teachers will want to add it to their collection of Easter titles.

I received a complimentary copy of Little Donkey and God’s Big Plan. This is my honest review.
