My Kid Review
Jensen, Gordon. Big Sisters. 2022.
Big Sisters, a delightful book about big sisters that could be for either the young or the old. Jensen appears to reminisce about his big sisters as his simple text talks about just what big sisters are and what big sisters do. The text is short – just one sentence per page.
I loved the illustrations – pixelated black and white photos that reminded me of photos from when I was young.
While I did love the book, I’m not sure if it will appeal to young children or more to the parents and grandparents who read it to them.
There is nothing that would keep the book from being added to the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library, however, I do encourage librarians to check it out for themselves.
I received a complimentary copy of Big Sisters. This is my honest review.
