Summary

Daddy, How Much Do You Love Me? tells the tender story of a father and his son and points children to the even greater love of their heavenly Father.

A dad and his son journey through familiar places, making memories as they read, wrestle, dance, and explore the deepest oceans, tallest mountains, and brightest stars. Along the way, the boy asks, “Daddy, how much do you love me?” and discovers that while his dad’s love is big, God’s love is even bigger, farther, deeper, and higher than he could ever imagine.

Written by Matt Markins, president of Awana, this beautifully illustrated picture book celebrates the joy of fatherhood and inspires dads to create intentional, joy-filled moments with their kids. Children will love its gentle reminder of the everyday adventures and rhythms of life that show just how deeply they are loved—by their dads and by God.

My Kid Review

Sometimes parents get busy, and their children need reassurance of a parent’s love. Markins wrote Daddy, How Much Do You Love Me? to help parents start the conversation with their children. Whether it is loving your child more than your work, how far you can hit a ball, or deeper than the ocean, you can make a comparison for your child. And through it all is the reminder of how much God loves us. There is a section at the back of this book just for dads.

Sosa’s illustrations are beautiful and complement the text well

I would love to see a companion book about Mommy because moms are busy too.

Daddy, How Much Do You Love Me? would be a good addition to the picture book section of a K-12 Christian school library. It is appropriate for preschool and primary-aged children.

I received a complimentary copy of Daddy, How Much Do You Love Me? This is my honest review.
